Paws Up, and welcome back. This week we focused on basic dental hygiene to keep your pups teeth nice and healthy! Brushing your dogs teeth is a fairly simple act, although sometimes it can be tough to get your dogs to cooperate. But doing something for your dogs teeth is better than nothing!
We just want to reitorate how important it is to clean your dogs teeth. The American Vetrinary Dental College (AVDC) has a great article to read up on Periodontal Disease which happens when domesticated animals don't have their teeth brushed or cleaned regularly. You can find the link below!
You only need a few thing to brush your dogs teeth:
-A soft bristle toothbrush
-A dog safe toothpaste
***Please note that you cannot use human-grade toothpaste for dogs. It can be toxic.***
After acquiring those items, squeeze the dog safe toothpaste into/on the soft bristle toothbrush and brush your dogs teeth like you would your own. If you are having trouble with the brushing process, refer to our video found below.
